Abraham the Banished’s story
Written by an unknown friend of his
Little is known about Abraham’s story most is speculation based on bits and pieces of his ramblings and stories. But most believe that his backstory is untrue.
He claims to not be from around here but not in the traditional sense. He claims to be from one of the other continents. This is where he claimed to have massacred many people due to the war going on over there (he doesn’t discuss the details about the war only the killings)
From how he speaks it seems like he was an officer with his lieutenant being a close friend of his (Wilkes). They fought together valiantly and mercilessly. Until their last fight together all Abraham says about it is Wilkes laid down his life to stop a dragonspawn from tearing him apart(I assume this is where his hatred birthed). And that was Wilkes’ final moment or so he thought.
Abraham never said how he ended up on this continent, which is why most dismiss his stories, but nobody dismisses his stories of serving as an officer in the Elwin military.
That’s where I met him. He’s one of the best fighters I’ve personally seen. The only qualm other officers have with him is his ruthlessness, to quote Abe “May Mira have mercy on my enemies because I won’t”. Really shows what kind of fighter he is. One of the first times I witnessed him fight he tore a rebel limb for limb just to provide an example of what happens when you cross him. I can say I’m glad I have him as a friend.
When we were fighting off an insurrection in Scardoth territory he joined forces with Sebastian Brook, Sebastian liked his fighting style so after the insurrection cleared he offered Abe a spot beside him in the Syndicate. Abe denied this request but accepted a friendship between them.
Abe’s friendship with Sebastian would pay off when rumors of Abe’s old friend Wilkes being alive on this continent started to swirl. Abe left the military to pursue the rumors. Sebastian would be a useful ally giving Abe any information he heard about Wilkes. Though not formally in the syndicate, Abe was treated as one of their own.
The latest rumor of Wilkes' whereabouts was he was in Norwich. Hearing this, Abe instantly jumped at the opportunity to look for him in this area.
All the info about Bonk is too unorderly for me to form it into a cohesive summary.
Growing up in a respected and noble household, Raynor was raised with the most prestigious lifestyle, often looking down on others, believing they are beneath him. Always wearing a tailored suit and stylish white gloves as he hates “filth”. He treats others with very little respect and berates those he views beneath him with insults. While growing up he was raised as a noble. He was taught at a young age many academics such as mathematics and languages. Not only that but he was taught how to fight with many weapons, 2 handed and 1 handed. He showed the most promise while using a sword from a very young age and only continued to hone his skills.
From the outside, Raynor comes off as a cocky brat without any redeeming qualities. While this is more or less true, Raynor is emotionally immature, and is not able to express what he is truthfully thinking, often pushing these confusing feelings down and replacing them with resentment. Due to this flaw, he can never truly connect with anyone. He won’t ever realize the conflict within himself because he hates to listen to others. Maybe if he were to encounter some words for a written piece however, he might start to shift his views…
Before tragedy struck again and the falling of his family name and household, Raynor was always aspiring to become a better noble. He had always believed that he needed to improve himself to be acknowledged by his father. He will never know that no matter what he did, he would never have gotten that approval. Due to this lack of praise, he often tackles issues with full force by himself.
The Hamildell household fell apart when Raynor was just 18. After the passing of his father, with him being the sole inheritor he was inexperienced with being the head of the Hamildell family. With the loss of the estate, the problems with staff leaving, and Loretta, the only close person in his life was gone, he broke and the Copperhall family used this opportunity to take over what was originally part of the Hamidell property. Raynor was outcast from the rest of his family, trying to make sure he would never be able to reclaim power in the name of the Hamildell family. 2 years later, Raynor now travels around looking for revenge, but it seems hard to rally allies as he treats everyone he meets terribly.
The Astral Elves are a group of Elves who serve and worship Lunaris their goddess. Ruith since he was young was fascinated with the religion and the Goddess and grew fonder of it by the day. He heavily indulged in practices such as the monthly Ceremonial rites where the stars slumber. Also, the weekly star gazing which was one of his favorites as it was a way to connect with his Goddess. Unfortunately, his time amongst the stars was cut short when he was caught in the crossfire of an argument between Lunaris and Nix. He is now in the Material plane and searches for a way to return to his home in the heavens.
Wrapped in Blood Silk and abandoned in the dunes of the Agranan Desert as a baby, Styx was seemingly destined for a short, pitiful life. Although the desert vast, a band of sand pirates stumbled upon the ruffles of precious silk. They were infamous across the desert and Agranan as a whole, known only as The Crimson Blade. Their terrifying sand ship donned a black wood body, a piercing silver trim, and menacing Blood Silk sails (hence their name). The desert was their hunting grounds and any merchant unlucky enough to get caught by them was wiped clean of their inventory, but would let you live if you cooperated (the uncooperative ones were dangled over the Antdragon Pits for information on trade routes). However, they were especially known for their love of Blood Silk goods, so much so that their interference in the trade has inflated the cost of it (pirates sold to dark market/shady merchants for even more money). They were also mercenaries and if one could manage to find them, or even afford to hire them, the task would be done swiftly and without error.
When The Crimson Blade found the unnamed Tabaxi infant within the Blood Silk, they took pity on the small being. Having lost a member recently in an ambush, the captain, Brock Vexx (Earth Genasi) better known as "The Blood Lord", decided to take her in (they aren't monsters after all). Practically left to die, they declared her as Styx "The Damned" for its fitting title. They raised her as one of their own, and she learned the pirate life. They taught her to fight, with a sword and with a bow, to stalk targets and ambush them for a swift victory, to be deceitful and never fear danger, to use her feline-like agility and dexterity to her advantage, to fight off desert monster attacks, and most importantly they taught her what a family was. Despite their disagreeable tendencies, they always had each others' backs and would risk their lives for one another. They sang and played instruments together, ate together, celebrated holidays together, and had a lot of fun just being in each others' company. They all found connection in their pasts, having been abandoned or betrayed before finding a home in the barren desert aboard this ship. While not particularly devout, they worshiped the Goddess Igina of the Forgotten and Unknown when taking on particularly dangerous missions to keep themselves safe.
As Styx grew up, she only became a better and more fierce pirate. By 16 she had become second in command and had earned well-deserved respect from her crew from her countless perfect raids and playful yet caring nature aboard the ship. As a celebratory gift of her "promotion" a young Aarakocra by the name of Ri gives her a customized pan flute with her name and title engraved within it. At only 1 and a half (fully grown by 3 btw lifespan 30yrs), Ri "The Fallen" had been shot in the wing while learning to fly with his mother and fell behind over their flight path, left to die. He was picked up by the Crimson Blade as they passed by him on their way to a raid. Styx aided Ri in his recovery as she taught him what she knew about the pirate life and even managed to help Ri learn to use his wings again, however he could only glide or fly short distances from now on. He became the lookout boy for Styx's raids and over the years they grew incredibly close, a sibling-like bond. When he gave her the pan flute, it became her prized possession and she never went anywhere without it.
Life was good for the Crimson Blade crew, until the Devouring Death came. The crew itself had been unaffected as they kept their distance from highly populated areas and had stolen some ingredients for the cure just in case. When The Blood Lord had heard about the restrictive trade on the Flavia berries, he decided that the crews main target for now would be those berries. The pirates never sought the death of others (especially innocent children who would be more affected by deadly disease) and disliked Elwin loyalists/merchants, so they believed that if they stole the shipments of Flavia berries the Elwin traders would be forced to get more because they would never admit to having their precious goods stolen by mere pirates and would simply go back and consequentially bring more berries into Agranan. What the Elwin merchants didn't know was that the pirates were dropping off the berries to poor families with sick children so they could get the cure. This tactic worked for a few months, until the Elwins upped their security. Despite intricate surveillance and planning, the next raid for Flavia berries went terribly wrong. Ri was sent first to make sure all but one of the guards was awake for the night so he could signal to Styx who would being the ambush. Its like they knew they were coming, he gave the silent signal and all hell broke loose. As the pirates surrounded the caravan, Styx looked to Ri to let him know he could come down, but all she saw was a tangle of feathers and netting plummeting to the ground. he had been captured, and as the pirates did their best to defend their brother, they were no match for these Elwin mercenaries disguised as common guards. All the could do was retreat and leave their brethren behind, having to pull Styx away before she got herself killed. She refused to leave him to be kidnapped and despite the executive decision from the captain, she had to go after him. And so, in the dead of the next night, she left her crew for the first time and hopped on a departing caravan, vowing to find Ri and take vengance upon the Elwin Empire no matter the cost.
I don't have a condensed version. It is several pages long and contains a lot of secret info, so I can't put the full version in here.
Vekran Forestoak Is an aasimar residing in the country of Elwin. Vekran’s mother was a human woman named Adilene Forestoak and his father was another human who died shortly after Vekrans birth. Vekans father was a member of the Elwin uprising and died in the capitol march. Adilene always looked out for Vekran and tried her best to be a good mother. Vekran spent most of his days supporting his mother and helping her with her bakery. Although Vekran often trained in his free time so he would be able to protect his mother from the local crime syndicate should the time come.
One night Vekran was on his way home to his mother with the food she sent him to buy when he witnessed a group of gang members harassing a girl in an alleyway. Vekran decided to intervene and was able to fight off all of the perpetrators. The girl who turned out to be named Lono, agreed to go with Vekran to his home for medical attention and the two ended up falling in love.
Upon finding out about Vekran attacking his men, the local crime lord was infuriated. He decided he wanted to send a message to this boy, and anyone else who would oppose him. The crime lord kidnapped Vekrans mother as well as Lono and told Vekran if he wanted his loved ones to live he would need to turn himself over to them. Verkran agreed. However the crime lord had other plans. After Verkran turned himself over and was subdued, the crime lord brought out Adilene and Lono, and killed both of them in front of Vekran. The crime lord then banished Vekran from the town.
Broken and alone, Verkran spent 3 years forming a ritualistic bond with the god Crim as a means to gain strength, and take vengeance on the crime syndicate who wronged him. Taking up a mask to block out the world and contain his power, Vekran became a monster, brutally massacring everyone who would seek power through the suffrage of others. Eventually the leader of the syndicate flead Elwin out of fear of Vekrans wrath. However Vekran vowed not to stop until the leader is dead and buried.
