A war between the countries of Flamen and Navis that started over a cultural dispute.
Flamen Records, Start of War: The merchants of Navis are uncivilized savages. They talk to all priests in completely informal speech, even though it is understood that priests are those closest to Vearus's word. Due to the utter disrespect Navis has given us, we have chosen to retaliate militarily to prove we are in Vearus's favor.
Flamen Records, End of War: Vearus has forsaken us. Our tactics and strategies were perfect, however the skies sided against our victory and so we have fallen from the heavens' into the murky sea of defeat. The terms of our peace required us to pay 10,000 platinum to Navis as well as give an artifact from our treasury. However, this is not the end of our conflict. We shall earn Vearus's favor in the end, no matter the cost.
Navis Story: Flamen had a stick up their ass and couldn't handle simple conversation, so we made sure to remove it and then beat them with it.
After Glacium discovered Mithral and Fimori discovered Adamantine, the two countries had an arms race. Unfortunately, the records of the country of Fimori were lost after the Rising, so the only intact record is a story told in Glacium about the event.
Glacium Children's Story:
There were once two craftsmen.
The two were very different craftsmen, each with different methods.
One day, the two craftsmen both found new materials.
The first craftsman made a sword, while the second made a shield.
The second craftsman made a spear, while the first made a hammer.
The first craftsman made an axe, while the second made a mace.
Then the second craftsman was brutally murdered by a pack of wolves.
The first craftsman was the victor, because they were smart and didn't piss off any wolves.
The End.
The discovery of gold in Amies led to economic prosperity for the region. There are no written records of the event, but there are oral ones. The Sands of Gold was described as the following:
Sand dunes made of gold that glistened in the day's sun.
A time when one gold was worth 10.
People from all over traveled to Amies in search of riches, often compared to vultures flocking to a newly dead corpse.
A tsunami hit the city of Doveport and killed the ruler of Sispero, Erotium Trenus. This created a power vacuum in the government. A power vacuum that the adjacent country of Nemus would attempt to capitalize on.
The countries of Sispero and Nemus go to war. The only record of the event was through stories told by both sides.
Sispero: The stories of the Sispero people describe the war as Nemus cowardly attempting to take advantage of Sispero's weakness and then getting what they deserved.
Nemus: The stories of the Nemus people describe the war as Sispero using underhanded tactics to win and that if they had fought fair, Nemus would have won easily.
The population of antdragons decreased causing an increase in other monster populations. This is known through a warning passed down through the ages. The warning said to never kill an antdragon, else the country would face destruction at the hands of "a sand storm of blood" (likely describing hordes of monsters).
Elwin freed the people of the old country and unified them under his rule. Or at least that is what Elwin himself describes as happening. All records of the event mysteriously disappeared right after his rule began.
The country of Terran revolutionized how weapons and armor were made. The accounts of the event were written by smiths and passed down to their apprentices. Through this we know that the revolution was likely sparked by the creation of Elwin, which was adjacent to Terran.
In the country of Trituc, a mutation in the crops caused a sudden, large increase in fertility rates. However, because of the extreme number of births, abandonment also increased. Additionally, the population was increasing so fast that for the first time in history Trituc was beginning to run out of food.
1595
An eclipse where all three moons perfectly align themselves in front of the sun. During the eclipse, which lasted 6 hours, all magic is amplified and costs nothing to use. Fun fact: Anastasia, the elven mage, was born during the Tripartite Eclipse.
1708 > 2206
The Arcane Renaissance was a time to be alive. New magic was being made every other week. It is the event that created the very foundation for magic. The renaissance first started by the elven mage, Anastasia, creating the Children of Anastasia, being of metal and magic. Near the end of the renaissance, forms of magical recording were developed and all historical events after it were well documented.
Not an actual labyrinth, but a complex web of assassinations. Even to this day, no one knows what the hell happened during this event. Important people from around the world started dying in very suspicious ways, such as sudden boulders from the sky or sudden disintegration. Were they even assassinations? We still don't know. Coincidently, the deaths stopped after a method for detecting magic reliably was invented, since before you could only detect one spell at a time and also needed to know the spell to detect it.
After the events of the Arcane Renaissance, the value of handmade artistic works skyrocketed. New spells were developed that could create great artwork in mere seconds. However, because of this large saturation of magically made pieces, those made without the assistance of magic were highly sought after. The country of Fimori benefited the most from this event, given they had the highest number of artists in the continent.

Within the city of Bleakburn, a new day is beginning as the sun rises, shining brilliantly on the towering structures of the city. But the sun is not alone. As the sun rises above the horizon, the land north of Bleakburn rumble like thunder as the earth itself shatters to pieces. Enormous ravines the size of mountains ruptured the lands, piercing through more cities and towns than one could count. The screams of the many are overshadowed by the roar of rupturing earth. The fractured rock swells from beneath and begin to shift and tilt and turn. The broken land rises toward the heavens, matching the sun as it too rises. The entirety of Fimori soars into the clouds, except for the capitol of Bleakburn. The citizens of Bleakburn are not given a moment of peace before the next calamity begins. Throughout the city, citizens burst into flames without warning. Their flaming silhouettes shriek in agony as each are torn from the center, stretching into a ring of burning flesh. The fire spirals into the center of these malformed corpses that could once be called people and demonic creatures depart from out of these hellish gateways like a great flood, rampaging and slaughtering everything in sight. The lucky few who survived the initial seconds of this hellscape are filled with nothing but fear and panic at what lies before their eyes.
2342 > Present
An outbreak of fiends caused by the fiends sent to destroy the capital of Fimori. The fiends spread throughout the Rulbari plains and caused countless deaths. The land is still scarred from the event as fire will sometimes spontaneously spark into life near the ruins of the Bleakburn. An important figure in the outbreak was the Hero Alibus who helped greatly.
Using the confusion caused by The Rising, the country of Elwin used the opportunity provided to completely take over the country of Glacium. The first battle was the Battle of Alcmen which lasted the majority of the war. Though Elwin's military was strong, it was a tough match against the mithril equipment of Glacium.
The Battle of Alcmen, also called the 10 year 10 day battle, was the first battle of the Glacium invasion as well as the longest. The Alcmen Ravine created a natural fortress for both sides, making it almost impossible for any combat other than long-ranged artillery.
Hungry for even more territory, the country of Elwin chose to invade Terran while they were still at war with Glacium. This decision ultimately caused both wars to go on for several decades and destroyed Elwin's economy. What made it worse for Elwin was that Terran had an entire revolution in the field of weaponry for the very purpose of defending against Elwin.
Due to the influence of the Fiendish Outbreak and the Hero Alibus, the Kingdom of Rulbari had a large increase in devotion to Sol and his pantheon. Sana, the goddess of healing and restoration, was especially believed in, because her priest could heal the wounded better than any other.
Given the recent invasion by Elwin, the countries of Nemus, Gyrus, Trituc, Sispero, and Flamen unified under common devotion to Noor, goddess of nature and fertility. They became known as the Panunith Theocracy. However some of Trituc and half of Flamen did not worship Noor and were absorbed into the Kingdom of Rulbari.
10 years after the Fiendish Outbreak, the Hero Alibus created the Alibus Tournament. The tournament is held every 10 years and shows that the country is prepared in case another disaster takes place. People from all over the continent travel to Norwich, located in the Kingdom of Rulbari, to fight in the tournament. The victor is given a large sum of money or something of equivalent value.
The country of Aincrad discovered a species of large insect that produced blood-red silk. This silk, nicknamed Blood Silk, was almost identical to normal silk, but was as durable as chainmail armor at a tenth of the weight. However, the silk was too difficult to weave in normal looms, so the country had no use for it.
For an unexplainable reason, dragons from across the continent migrated toward the Highlands. This was especially a problem for the country of Elwin as the Moric and Silian mountain ranges have a large dragon population. The migration caused a large disruption in the country's trade routes and made the already uneasy population even more fearful.
Merchants from the country of Elwin were in the Godefride forest traveling to the city of Warren and killed an owlbear on their way to the city. However, the owlbear is seen as a sacred beast of Drear, so the merchants were promptly imprisoned and then enslaved. The country of Elwin wanted to stop Panunith, but they knew facing their massive supply of resources would be a terrible idea. This event is seen as the main cause of the Western War.
A terrible drought befell the country of Panunith. The country, known for their abundance of crops that they traded openly with other countries, could not feed most of its people. After the first 3 years of the drought, the Kingdom of Rulbari aided the country after heavy deliberation. The deliberation divided the people of Rulbari, believing that aiding Panunith would make an enemy of Elwin. Due to the aid of Rulbari, Panunith managed to defend against the onslaught of Elwin's forces from both land and sea.
Perhaps due to the disruption caused by the Great Dragon Migration, the country of Elwin declared war on the country of Panunith. Elwin immediately began bombarding Panunith by sea and Panunith retaliated with the full force of their navy. However, this was a distraction. Elwin attacked through the valley of Oric at the Siege of Fort Velmen. Ultimately, it was a stalemate and the countries made peace under oversight of the Kingdom of Rulbari.
The Siege of Fort Velmen was the single deadliest battle in all of Hethion's history. The siege left 5 million dead and 15 million injured. The battle was a stalemate, but a technical victory for Panunith, since they were defending. Even today, the land surrounding the fort is stained red with blood and smells of iron.
The country of Elwin and the Panunith Theocracy signed for peace under the oversight of the Kingdom of Rulbari. The peace was well-needed after the absolute horror that was the Siege of Fort Velmen. It is also comically referred to as The Owlbear's Lunch by residents of the city, because the first diplomat that Elwin sent was eaten by an owlbear on her way to the city. It is tradition in the city to feed an owlbear on the day of the treaty signing.
After the Western War, the mages the Elwin government trained to fight in the war returned to their homes. This massively impacted daily life, since magic allowed for a large degree of convenience. This also made people safer, since the mages were well-versed in combat.
Asana Vonones invented a new type of loom that was able to weave blood silk. Her design allowed for the once useless blood silk to become one of the most valuable materials on the continent. People immediately started to substitute normal silk for blood silk in their clothing as well as selling fake blood silk to make a profit. Blood silk is still fairly rare, so it is used as an engagement gift to symbolize your wish for your partner to be protected at all times.
The sky turned red, the sun turned black, and it began to rain. However, this was not normal rain, it was the color of blood, caused searing pain, and could melt through solid steel. This event lasted for almost 1 hour.
A large earthquake took place in the Noric Mountain Range. This earthquake opened several fissures in the mountain range, causing the discovery of Adamantine.
A new alloy was discovered through processing Adamantine and Titanium. This material was called Atatanium. The metal is light, durable, and magically conductive. However, the metal was created by accident and the method for its creation is still not completely known.
The people of Elwin marched on the capital city of Elwin. Given the great improvement the mage resurgence brought to the country, the people wanted better magical education. Many mages were amongst those marching, causing difficulty in stopping the uprising. However, eventually, the uprising was suppressed. Due to the part the mages played in the uprising, magic was heavily restricted in the country. Very few were allowed to use it and those that were caught using magic were imprisoned without trial.
Many citizens of the countries Navis and Asmies traveled into the Kingdom of Rulbari. King Philto, afraid the countries were attempting to secretly invade amidst the current rebellion taking place, sent an order to the military to massacre everyone who crossed the border and anyone who would subsequently cross it.
After the Border Massacre, the nations of Navis, Amies, and Aincrad were afraid of what the Kingdom of Rulbari would do next. Given their situation, they decided to join together and become one nation to fight the threat of Rulbari, should it arise. From then on, they were known as the United Agranan Nation, most likely named after the Agranan Desert that all the nations laid within.
The culmination of all the rebellious effort in the Kingdom of Rulbari. The rebellion reached a peak and the capital was filled with chaos. The guards and soldiers stationed in the capital could not compete with the sheer number of people present. The castle was broken into and King Philto was unceremoniously murdered in his own bed by an angry mob.
After the Rulbari Revolt, the people instituted a new ruler to guide them. It was decided that the head of the revolution, Lydus Tumilus, would be the perfect fit, due to his expertise in politics, economics, and military tactics. His first decision as ruler was moving the capital to the city Windmere.
Captus, a center of trade for the Panunith Theocracy, the Kingdom of Rulbari, and the United Agrana Nations, was settled by citizens of Agrana from the port city Pathstow. There was a native species living on the island, but they suddenly disappeared a few weeks after the settlers arrived. Due to the economic upturn caused by Captus for Panunith, Rulbari, and Agrana, the number of merchants in those countries doubled.
The Abrahan syndicate, one of the seven massive crime syndicates which run the country of Elwin along with its government, was completely destroyed. The system of buildings used as the headquarters of the syndicate were decimated by an enormous explosion that could be seen for miles. The explosion caused the death of 85% of the syndicate's members as well as the death of Roger Tuffington himself, the head of the syndicate. After investigation, the explosion has been traced back to one of the members of the Abrahan syndicate, though the whereabouts of this member are still unknown.
The Auxilium plant was outlawed in the country of Panunith, causing criminals to take control of its distribution. The leaves of the plant were used as a drug for certain medical conditions, but if concentrated more heavily can lead to feelings of euphoria and hallucinations. After some issues with people refining the drug to dangerously high concentrations, the country decided to outlaw the plant entirely. However, this allowed criminals to take complete influence over the drug, which they used to their advantage. Outlawing the plant spiraled into even more of an issue than before, so the country made it legal again and took back control over its distribution.
The volcano situated near Captus erupted, causing major damage to the region as well as the nearby port city of Pathstow. Since Captus was the center for trade between Panunith, Rulbari, and Agrana, this caused a global recession. The Great Disruption was officially over after the wedding between the first princess of Rulbari and the fourth heir of the ruler of the Aincrad region of Agrana.
A momentous outrage of flames wreaked havoc on the northern slums of Windmere, the capital of Rulbai. The fires incinerated an estimated 100,000 homes, killing roughly 25,000 people and injuring approximately 100,000.
The wedding of Lenora Tumilus, the first princess of Rulbari, and Cleoss Aincrad, the fourth heir of the ruler of the Aincrad region of Agrana. This event marked the end of the Great Disruption and started a period of security and assurance between the countries of Panunith, Rulbari, and Agrana. The wedding was held in the city of Everrose during the Everrose Spring Shifting, a supernatural event where every tree in the Silvaen forest constantly shifts color for a few hours.
A plague has broken out in the United Agranan Nations and is spreading fast. So far, nearly a tenth of the population is infected. The disease has resisted all magical attempts to cure it. However, its cure is known. The sap of the Sergius tree, the berries of the Flavia bush, and the honey made from the Anasta flower. The Sergius tree is found in the Godefride forest within Panunith and, thankfully, Panunith is openly trading the sap with Agrana. The Flavia berries are only found in an extremely cold environment and Elwin is trading the berries with Agrana, though the trade is heavily restricted by Elwin in their favor. The honey of the Anasta flower is the hardest ingredient to get. The flower can only be found in Labrax forest and is almost extinct.

On a seemingly normal day, a horde of demonic creatures, known as Cacklers, swarmed the city of Bleakburn. The large number of fiends surrounded the city, overwhelming its defenses and causing mass destruction as well as causalities in the hundreds. After reviewing later reports of the event, it seems like the creatures were pooling their strength in the forest outside the city, waiting for a chance to strike. However, Cacklers are not intelligent creatures and would not have the mental capacity to cause such a well-thought-out strategy. Due to the damage from the attack, the revitalization of Bleakburn occurred a major setback and years of work has been wiped away.
Due several sudden events that brought the criminal activities within Windmere in view of the public eye, the city has been placed under heavy restrictions. One of the most important restrictions is the curfew that prohibits citizens from being outside of their homes 1 hour after sunset. Other constraints are the full inspection of all goods transported to and from the city of Windmere as well as the security screenings required to enter or exit. In addition, the number of guards on patrol during all times of day have been significantly increased.
One of the events that caused these changes was a large disturbance in the northwestern forest. There was a cavern entrance hidden within a rock formation inside the forest. The royal knights investigated the area and then sealed off the entrance. It is rumored that the area was a secret government facility that the royal knights covered up using the recent incidents as an excuse.
After the complete destruction of the Golward Syndicate Windmere Branch and the Thieves Under Falsifications as well as the severe weakening of the Scardoth Syndicate Windmere Branch, a power vacuum has been formed in Windmere's underground. In response, many other smaller criminal organizations have decided to use this opportunity to attempt to achieve greater renown and power. Making matters worse, the untrust towards the government, which was caused by the city's lockdown, has given many individuals a worthy reason to join such organizations.
In Spire, a city in Rulbari that is split in two by the Naevia River, a disaster has occurred. From the report of witnesses, a pair of two travelers arrived at the edge of the river. The two were a tiefling and some variety of elf. The tiefling had cast a spell on the two of them and they had both drank some type of potion. Then, the elf formed two balls of lightning and launched them into the river. Moments later, calamity ensued. The two travelers had upset a kraken lurking beneath the river. The sky turned dark and the sound of thunder roared as lightning struck the earth over and over. After the beast had destroyed every building on the edge of the river and killed several dozens of people in a mere 30 seconds, something came over it and it fled down the river. It is still unknown whether the travelers were attempting to fight the beast or provoke it to destroy the city. Either way, they are the ones to blame.
As the citizens of Windmere go about their daily lives, a strange magic forms above them. A curtain of violet magic envelopes the capital, encompassing it in a translucent dome of arcane power. Soon after, a mass of gold grows and morphs into a gargantuan red dragon in the middle of the city. After the event, information was pieced together to bring more light on the situation. It turned out a devil from the 7 Hells, Malec's divine realm, had created the dragon and barrier as part of an attempted attack against the gods. Not much else is known about the details, except for the devil's fate. The devil was defeated by a brave group of heroes, though all but two kept their identities secret.
A celebration held in honor of those who achieved victory against the devil. It is said there were seven heroes present, as well as familiars and less important allies. However, we only know the identities of two. Abraham and Styx are their names. As it turns out, Abraham is connected to the Elwin crime syndicates and Styx is connected to a well-known pirate group in Argana. The event had a parade through the capital, followed by a ball at the royal palace. It's rumored that Salisina was spotted in the crowd at the parade, but the claim couldn't be verified. However, it was confirmed that Raelyn made a brief appearance at the ball.
In the western most regions of Elwin, there has been a sudden and unexplainable increase in the number of undead roaming the lands. Many theorized it was cause by secret government experiment, but the real answer was never discovered. Though there was a sudden spike for a few months, the numbers gradually began to return to normal level. However, it didn't stop dropping. By the end of Animo, 2612, there wasn't a single undead left in the western-most area of Elwin. The number gradually returned to normal levels many, many months later.
Positioned between the borders of Agrana, Rulbari, and the Highlands, a Dungeon of Dawn has been unsealed by a group of astral elves, led by an astral elf named Ruith. After such news went public, warriors and mages from the edges of the continent all gathered at the dungeon's gates, since the unsealing of the last Dungeon of Dawn was over 500 years ago. The dungeon has the appearance of a large pyramid 800 feet across on each side. Its surface is perfectly smooth and appears as though it were a window into the night sky. The only deviation in its shape is a single, south-facing indentation, acting as a gateway into the pyramid. Entry into the pyramid require those wishing to enter to walk towards a barrier of light blocking the entrance, then another barrier will block off the exit and the first barrier will vanish, allowing entry. However, this will only occur if there is an astral elf or starborn within the entrance. Additionally, while inside, anyone not within 60 feet of an astral elf or starborn is teleported out of the pyramid after 30 seconds.
After some miners had been carving into the mountain range on Captus, the tunnel wall collapsed revealing the other side of the mountain. The new land is a diverse new region filled with many new species of intelligent life that had never been seen before.
A species of fox that can transform into humanoids, called the Kitsune.
A species of giant killing machines, called the Oni.
A species of living mushrooms, called Mycnide.
A species of chameleon humanoids, called the Kamudor.
A species of armadillo humanoids, called the Dagimir.
A species of living plants, called the Florians.
In preparation for the 20th Alibus Tournament, the city of Norwich and the church of Arthrum built a new coliseum outside of the city. With its over 100,000-person capacity, the stadium dwarfs any other building within 100 miles. During the tournament, there was more contestants than the last 3 tournaments combined. There were many exciting moments during the tournament, but the only one which truly matters happened during the quarter finals. During a fight with a Anhkolox, an undead created from bones of bears and other beasts, a contestant struck the creature with a warhammer, causing a piece of bone to fly out of the area. Oddly, the arcane barrier protecting the crowd had a sudden malfunction and the piece of bone injured one of the bishops sitting in a box. The tournament was suspended for a few minutes as priests rushed to the bishop to confirm her safety. After the tournament, an investigation was undergone to identify the source of the malfunction, but nothing of note was found and it seemed like simply an unlikely accident.
Roughly 15 years ago from this day, the patent for the first firearm was filed. Since then, many have devised new models and improved versions, but they could not begin producing them until the patent became invalid. However, that has expired. Immediately, the firearm industry was born and instantly exploded (not in the bad way). Simple firearms can now be seen through much of the continent, especially Rulbari.
For nearly two decades, the people of Agrana had suffered at the clawed grasp of the Devouring Death, a slow but deadly disease. That has finally changed. By the middle of Ignima, 2612, the disease was official announced to have a grand total of 0 infected. This impossible feat was accomplished by an anonymous individual known as the Blood Silk Saint. Not much is known about her, except that she is dressed in blood silk and carried glowing stones that could cure the Devouring Death by simply holding one. Throughout the course of many years, the Blood Silk Saint travelled all of Agrana, curing every victim of the disease, one by one. The Blood Silk Saint is now an icon of legend in Agrana and her story will be told for centuries to come.

Relations between Rulbari and Panunith have fallen apart. Their relations were already rocky, but it seems the incidents during the last two Alibus Tournaments were the final straws. Some kind of change was inevitable, since Rulbari has always disagreed with Panunith's use of slaves in many aspects of its society. The war's battlefields are held mostly along the middle channel of the Naevic river, which marks the border between the countries. A few skirmishes have also been carried out off the coasts of the two nations, though those have been kept to a minimum for the sake of Captus. Currently, Rulbari has the advantage thanks to its more advanced firearms However, Panunith's plentiful supplies of food give it the edge in the long term.
A rumor has begun to form in Elwin. The rumor describes a figure cloaked in shadow with glowing purple eyes and goat horns protruding from either side of its head. Wielding a scythe, the figure kills those which wrongfully interfere with death, such as liches. It is said that the Horned Reaper is the reason for the drastic decrease in undead detailed in the Rising Dead event.

The Dragon's Maw was once the most heavily secured prison on the continent. With advanced security systems throughout and thousands of personnel, it was seen as impossible to ever escape, especially considering the countless Void Roses living within. A Void Rose is a creature that absorbs magical energy from the area, which allowed the prison to inhibit the recovery of spell slots. Given this unique property, mages were at a severe disadvantage in any escape attempt.
However, on the 25th of Liberi, due to a riot and security malfunction, prisoners were able to escape not only from one of the main wings, but from the maximum-security area as well. One of these prisoners utilized a divine blessing from Sear to descend the entire prison into utter chaos. The Warden of the prison was heard declaring a state of emergency, allowing the Void Roses to apprehend all criminals with deadly force. The Warden was never seen again, nor were the majority of the prisoners and staff of the prison.
As of now, the Dragon's Maw is no more. The once-prison has been abandoned by the Elwin government, and the once massive prison complex is now a nest for thousands of Void Roses. Given the large stockpile of magical items that was within the prison's storage rooms, there is an incentive for the brave few to enter the Rose Garden in order to claim its treasure.
