Agrana is a triarchy, meaning it has three rulers. Each ruler reigns over a different section of the country. There is the Navis region, the Amies region, and the Aincrad region. The position of the triarch is hereditary and is passed down to the triarch’s oldest son. When making decisions that affect the entire country, the three triarches will meet and discuss. When making decisions that only affect a certain triarch’s region, that triarch will just make the decision. Two of the triarches have advisors, but they aren’t required and are only there to serve as a second opinion.
The public opinion of the government is currently complicated. Agrana has typically always maintain its relations to both Panunith and Rulbari, so the public is torn between who to support. Since the government has chosen to support Rulbari, the supporters of Panunith aren't quite content with it. On a more positive note, the Amies Triarch’s first son was cured of the devouring death and has since made of full recovery. Possibly as a result of that, the Amies Triarch is heavily supportive of the Blood Silk Saint. The rumors about the Navis Triarch’s first son, Nasir Navis, having an affair with the fourth son’s wife, Maria Erina, turned out to be untrue. In other news, Kira Titiana, the wealthiest merchant in all of Agrana and the mother of Jin Titiana, has become the major leader in firearm trade in Agrana.
Agrana has very strong relations with Rulbari, while its relations to Panunith are starting to degrade. Agrana's view of Elwin has always been negative, but it is especially bad as of now due to the restrictions Elwin had implemented on Flavia berries during the outbreak of the Devouring Death.
With a population of ~643 million people, Agrana’s population is the most dense in the cities, with 70% of its citizens living in cities.
The climate is very dry throughout. It is also very hot.
Agrana hasn’t ever had many religious practitioners, given their lack of hardships, other than the Great Disruption and Devouring Death. However, since the Devouring Death, there has been the begins of a pseudo-religion centered around the Blood Silk Saint.
The economy of Agrana was has been quite well as of late. Though its trade with Panunith is decreasing, its trade with Rulbari has increased. Additionally, the Starlit Pyramid has boosted their economy. Agrana is a country with many natural resources, including silk, precious metals, and blood silk. Blood silk is a special type of silk found only in the Aincrad region. It is as light as normal silk but is as durable as steel. Due to its durability, it took nearly 30 years after its discovery before they could invent a loom capable of processing it. Agrana’s government uses sales taxes and property taxes as their main source of income. Agrana has a roughly equal number of merchants to Rulbari, with them both having ~30% of the continent’s merchants.
There are three royal families within Agrana. The head of the Navis family is Alexander Navis. Alexander has four wives: Amalie, Rishi, Claudia, and Wihara. Amalie has a son named Nasir who is the first born and Nasir has a wife named Isha Varman. Rishi has two sons named Vlad and James who are the second and third born respectively. Claudia has one daughter named Mysa who is married to Gerald Amies and is the fourth born. Wihara has a son named Victor who is married to Maria Erina and is the fifth born. The head of the Amies family is Rhodri Amies. Rhodri has two wives: Avafia and Hildrina. Avafia has two children: a son named Gerald who is married to Mysa Navis and is the first born as well as a daughter named Sabina who is married to August Fandan and is the second born. Hilda has one son named Godwin who is the third born. The head of the Aincrad family is Ragnar Aincrad. Ragnar has three wives: Helen, Martha, and Ashina. Helen has one son named Clovis who is the first born. Martha has a son named Hugh who is married to Jin Titiana and is the second born. Ashina has two children: a son named Cleoss who is married to Lenora Tumilus and is the third born as well as a daughter named Soe.
Those who live in the cities have basic needs met, with some having more luxury. Several smaller cities between the major ones that are doing okay. Caravans are often attacked by monsters or sand pirates. Most marriages are polyamorous.
Agrana: The capital of Agrana, formally known as the United Agranan Nations. It is the hub of the desert and has the most spices and monster parts in the country.
Azalia: Once the capital of Aincrad, it is now simply a large city within Agrana. It surrounds an oasis and is seen as the safest city in the country, given its lack of any nearby monsters and distance from the border of the country.
Pathstow: A port city that was once the capital of Navis, is now still an important city of Agrana. It is the gateway of trade with Captus and, on average, has more ships docked at once than any other port city.
Caerus: Once the capital of Asmies, Caerus is the largest source of gold, silver, and copper in the continent. Its short distance to the coast allows for easier transport across the sea.
Agranan Desert: The Agranan Desert covers the entirety of the United Agranan Nations. It is filled with mostly sand, but also precious metal, hidden ruins, sand pirates, dangerous monsters, and a surprisingly large number of people.
Antdragon Pits: These pits are found throughout the country of Argana. They are the hunting grounds of antdragons. Best to stay clear of them.
16-year-olds are blindfolded and dropped off a few miles from home. They then need to find their way back. If they succeed, they are considered adults.
Instead of giving a ring to signify an engagement, those of Agrana give blood silk garments.
Antdragons are seen as vital creatures and are not harmed. They keep the populations of monsters from growing out of control.
