The country of Elwin is ruled by Elwin who lives in the capital of Elwin, Elwin. The government is very oppressive and utilizes the country’s criminal syndicates to control the people from every angle.
The current public opinion of Elwin is garbage as always. There are small rebellions every other week that are constantly being oppressed by both the military and criminal syndicates. Surprisingly, the magic ban was amended to allow for magic in the use of agriculture. The change was brought about after a few high-ranking officials suggested it. Though there haven't been many times Elwin has been seen in public, Elwin is still looking as young as the day he rose to power. On another note, due to Elwin's odd lack of input in current events, it is speculated something large is being planned.
Elwin has bad relations with literally every other country.
With a population of ~264 million people, Elwin has the lowest population out of all four countries. Most of the population lives in small, close-knit villages throughout its territory.
The climate is more temperate near its border with Panunith, but is dry everywhere else. Also, really fucking cold, except in the region that was once Terran.
All religion is outlawed in Elwin. However, many still practice religion in secret, especially in the regions that were once Glacium and Terran.
Elwin’s economy has always been awful. They have less than 15% of the continent's merchants. Though their economy is pretty bad, they still have many valuable resources, such as tough hides and leather, strong metals, a ton of stone, as well as special metals like adamantine and mithril. Elwin's government main source of income is extor- I mean taxes, all kinds of taxes.
There are currently six criminal syndicates. Once there were seven, but the Abrahan Syndicate, led by Roger Tuffington, was destroyed in a giant explosion. The following are the six remaining syndicates and their respective leaders.
Scardoth Syndicate - Sebastian Brook
Wazic Syndicate - Thazar Badel
Amasek Syndicate - Rosalind Evans
Viothar Syndicate - Ophelia Faltius
Golward Syndicate - Valza Azlav
Pavirphin Syndicate - Laurence Topas
The Golward Syndicate was previously led by Julianna Sasar before she was killed on the 14th of Interi, 2612.
Life in Elwin is extremely difficult. Either you live in a city protected from the wilderness, but you need to deal with the constant crime, or you live in the wilderness away from the crime, but you need to deal with the wilderness. To describe the wilderness of Elwin with one word, it would be death.
